Daphne du Maurier Society of North America – Newsletter 2024

DduMSNA Newsletter 2024

The Daphne du Maurier Society of North America has produced its Newsletter for 2024.

It includes news of all the events taking place this year, starting with the Short Story Study Event on Sunday 19th May.  This year’s chosen short story is Daphne du Maurier’s chilling tale, Don’t Look Now.

In July, the Society holds its annual reading retreat at Higgins Lake, Michigan.  The afternoon will consist of coffee, treats, and a discussion of The Blue Lenses.  The date, time and other details will be confirmed in due course.

On Saturday 7th September, the Society has rescheduled its March meeting, which had to be postponed.  Its theme is one of Daphne’s later novels, The House on the Strand, which will be discussed and dissected by Professor Gina Wisker.  Also, on that afternoon, Society member and author Samantha Mabry will talk about her latest novel, Clever Creatures of the Night.

Lastly, on Saturday 7th December, the annual Christmas in Cornwall Luncheon will take place and will feature Kate Aspengren, MFA, who will present her splendid talk, Rebecca: Stage and Screen.
